VT7 Can Build up to 14 Meters High Condo

The Supreme Court, "therefore, gives an order to amend the order of the Administrative Court of First Instance. That the Defendant No. 2 shall cease the construction performed, under the Work Permit No. 162/2007 dated 28 November 2007, on the part exceeding 14 meter height.”

What is the amendment that the Supreme Court has ordered? Presumably amending the order of The Administrative Court of First Instance halting any building works exceeding 14 mtrs? Therefore it seems that building above 14 mtrs is permitted?

No. The original court order banned ALL construction. The construction site basically closed. The Supreme Court amended the order to permit building ONLY to 14 meters.

Is it true that the construction works on VT7 have been halted permanently due to court ruling>

Can anyone please tell me what is happening with VT 7. Has construction stopped? I was there recently and it looks as if they have already reached 14 meters or more! Thanks

Yes Please. Can we have an update on this? It's known that VT will brazen it out until someone stops them & much harder to tear down than to stop at 14 mtrs. Are the 10 valiant plaintiffs still actively pursuing this? Anything a bystander can do to help?

has vt7 applied for bldg. permit or otherwise indicated officially they are planning a 14 meter design? Pattayajomiencondos.blogspot.com has an "update" = humourous or fact?

That posting (Pattayajomtiencondos.blogspot.com)was supposed to be humorous but actually not very funny. The VT7 design remains the same for a 27 story condo. IF it gets the Court approval remains the big question. A survey is going to be performed shortly and then court will make the final ruling. Construction is not supposed to go beyond 14 meters.

is there a mistake in some of the info on the net - mentioning "Nov.2007" instead of "2006"? Reason for asking: has the admin. ct. given any new hearing date or moved at all on survey, etc. since Aug. 8, 2007?

check out pattayacondos.blogspot.com for a little extra info.

November 15 there is meeting scheduled at Pattaya City Hall and then the survey will be performed. The final court date of November 28 is not set in stone and could be extended if warranted.

City hall will give the go-ahead to Ocean Tower - 97 stories, 200 meters from the beach.
Doesn't the law say 14 meter height allowed 200 meters from the beach and then to proceed upwards at a 45 degree angle from there? If this is true, then how can city hall allow 97 stories be built 200 meters from beach? I know VT hasn't anything to do with Ocean Tower, but shouldn't the same laws apply? And if they don't, how safe are condo owners when all is said and done?

Ocean Tower 1 is not an issue as it is more than 200 meters from the beach. Nobody ever questioned it being built for that reason.

well - have they stopped at 14 mtrs?

re: Pattaya City News, Ocean Tower is 200 mtrs from beach.

Sending a wish for Good Luck to the plaintiffs for the Nov. 15 administrative court hearing/ survey. Any way it goes, you are in the right.

My impression there was no hearing but only a survey. Will the judge even be there?

previous information tells us that there will be a meeting at City Hall on the 15th, after which a survey will take place. Administrative court hearing is slated for Nov. 28, but not firm.
